Evo X Rolling Anti‑Lag
Rolling Anti‑Lag helps maintain turbo energy while the vehicle is moving by using a controlled combination of throttle, fuel and ignition behavior. It is a motorsport/off-road feature—not a cure for poor turbo response or mechanical faults.
What the driver configures
The TunedBySaeedAli78 order sets a trigger, minimum RPM, minimum TPS, maximum vehicle speed, maximum active time from one to five seconds, aggressiveness, Spark Cut choice and required boost target. The active-time field defaults to three seconds and remains editable. GSR/5MT cars use the clutch launch source; MR/SST cars use the brake source.
RAL V2 · boost control & selectable cut
Standalone-style Rolling Anti-Lag control through the factory Evo X ECU. V2 extends the original RAL functionality, retaining its fuel, timing, activation gates and operating limits on supported ROMs.
- Boost targeting, progressive TPS taper & adjustable holdThrottle progressively reduces as boost approaches the target, then holds at a configurable TPS value to maintain boost, RPM and vehicle momentum. Reaching the boost target does not automatically stop RAL.
- Independent overboost protection & hysteresisBoost target control and the overboost kill are separate, with their own hysteresis. Target control manages boost around the requested value; the overboost threshold can disarm RAL.
- KnockSum protectionRAL can immediately disarm when the configured knock limit is exceeded. Existing RPM, TPS, speed, trigger and maximum-active-time limits remain part of the setup.
- Ignition cut, fuel cut, or bothSelect the cut strategy to suit the calibration: ignition only, fuel only, or combined ignition and fuel cut.
- Adjustable cut percentageControl cut density through the engine’s 720° four-stroke cycle, giving more control over the event’s aggressiveness than a simple on/off cut strategy.
- Normal throttle operation on releaseReleasing RAL returns throttle to normal driver control, including WOT when requested by the pedal.
Developed with repeated on-car testing and logging on an SST MR Evo X. The logic is not SST-specific; availability is confirmed against each supported Evo X model and exact ECU ROM.
Thresholds and cut settings are matched to your hardware and tune. These controls do not guarantee protection from engine or turbo damage. Motorsport/off-road use only.
RAL V2 tested on the SST MR Evo X
A huge thanks to Josh Burnard from Auto Torque – Performance Tuning for the extensive testing, logging and support throughout development.
In the development logs, TPS tapers as boost approaches a 16 PSI target while RAL remains active. At target, throttle holds at the configured value—approximately 65% TPS in this example—to maintain boost, RPM and momentum. Releasing RAL returns throttle to normal operation.
Boost-kill and knock-kill tests followed the commanded limits in the reported logs. These figures describe the tested setup; they are not universal calibration defaults.
Testing was performed on an SST MR Evo X. RAL V2 is designed for supported Evo X models and ROMs beyond SST, with exact-file compatibility checked before work.
Why the exact ROM matters
Send the exact stable ROM currently working on your vehicle so the RAL settings match your ECU and existing calibration. We’ll contact you if any further information is needed.
Mechanical responsibility
RAL increases exhaust temperature and thermal and mechanical stress. The vehicle must be serviced, mechanically fault-free, fitted with fresh suitable spark plugs and an AFR gauge, and ready for tuning. Misuse can damage engines, turbochargers, manifolds and driveline parts; no calibration can guarantee against mechanical failure.
